The APE PRO SERIES TENSIONER design is for the racer who frequently adjusts their engine. The easy-access socket head adjuster screw is perfect for tight spaces.

Gasket and 2 6mm mounting screws are included. CNC machined from billet aluminum, anodized black. Custom machined adjuster bolt is broached for a 4mm hex wrench. Internal O-Ring seals the adjuster bolt.

APE manual cam chain tensioners are a must for any kind of performance riding. No matter what the engine does, the cam chain tension will remain constant. APE manual cam chain tensioners are designed to replace the automatic and hydraulic tensioners on high-performance engines. Automatic adjusters can back out when the throttle is closed suddenly at high rpms. This allows the cams to momentarily go out of time and can result in bent valves and/or serious engine damage. Hydraulic tensioners tend to put too much tension on the chain guide under high rpm/high oil pressure conditions, resulting in premature wear. Both problems can be eliminated with the installation of an APE PRO SERIES manual tensioner.
